"As soon as she began her fashion classes at The University of Alabama, Mary Catherine grew extremely passionate about designing dresses for the elegant and chic young woman embracing femininity. Her design style has evolved into creating classic silhouettes with beautifully embellished fabrics. She has an incredible amount of respect for couture with its attention to fine detailing and artistry. Her first collection, La Femme, consisted of thirteen hand-sewn dresses."
The gorgeous white dress displayed above was crafted by Mary for "Tee-Time". "Tee-Time is an annual spring U of A event the apparel design program sponsors. Every year, participating students are given a plain white T-shirt to deconstruct and create a new garment. Garments are showcased during a runway show, and after, a silent auction of the designs."
